Overnight Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker

Turning Point is recruiting an Overnight Mental Health Crisis Recovery Worker for its Recovery Lounge in Manchester, which is extending into overnight support for people in mental health crisis. The role is permanent and full time, 37 hours a week on nights (9pm to 9am).

What you will do:

• Give compassionate, recovery-focused support to people in mental health crisis
• Help with triage, risk assessment, safety planning and de-escalation
• Keep the space safe and welcoming, including general housekeeping
• Help people choose positive next steps
• Keep accurate records and work with partner agencies

What they ask for:

• Ideally, experience in mental health, health and social care or a support role
• A relevant qualification, lived experience or a strong interest in mental health
• Calm, resilient, empathetic and non-judgemental, with good communication

Pay stated by the employer: £25,949 per year. Holiday: 31 days a year, rising to 33 with service, plus the option to buy more. Closing date: 18 November 2026.
