Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a passionate and driven Volunteer Coordinator to join their dedicated 1625 Outreach Sheffield Team.
In this vital role, you will champion a positive culture of volunteering by recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers, student placements, and apprentices (such as Co-production and Marketing apprentices). Grounded in principles of harm reduction, non-judgmental support, and fact-based education, you will help young people and young adults (aged 16 to 25) make informed choices, keep safe, and build healthier futures.
Volunteer Recruitment & Strategy: Manage a comprehensive volunteer recruitment and support strategy, identifying meaningful opportunities in collaboration with service leaders.
Training & Supervision: Deliver learning and training to volunteers, students, and apprentices while training colleagues on how to effectively support and supervise team members.
Welfare & Wellbeing: Champion the welfare, wellbeing, and professional development of volunteers, students, and apprentices.
Internal & External Partnerships: Develop vital community and internal links to attract talent, working collaboratively with Regional Volunteering Leads across the organization.
Experience: Proven experience in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, alongside a solid background working with young people or young adults (aged 16 to 25).
Knowledge Base: Working knowledge of child and vulnerable adult safeguarding frameworks, alongside an understanding of the challenges faced by young people.
Communication & Leadership: Accomplished written, verbal, and IT competency with strong leadership, empathy, and non-judgmental interpersonal skills.
Requirements: Highly driven, flexible, and willing to travel with occasional overnight stays. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
