About this role
Monzo is looking for a Data Science Manager to lead data work in one of its Financial Crime product areas. The team uses data to detect, prevent and reduce financial crime and to keep pace with new threats and regulation.
What you would do:
- Manage a team of Data Scientists and Data Analysts, working with Analytics Engineers
- Partner with Product Managers, engineers and financial crime control owners in an agile team
- Set the data strategy for your area and turn analysis into product changes
- Hire and develop people in your team
What Monzo looks for:
- Hands-on data science experience and experience leading a team
- A strategic, data-driven approach and fresh ideas
- Ability to work across product, risk and engineering
The role can be based in London, Cardiff or remotely in the UK. Pay is £100,000 to £130,000 plus performance-linked incentive awards and benefits, and Monzo lists a £1,000 yearly learning budget.
