Location: Lyca Health, Orpington

Hours: Permanent, Full-Time – 40 hours per week (Flexible rotational shifts covering days, evenings, and weekends between 08:00 and 20:00, Monday to Sunday)

Salary: £26,436.80 per annum

We are currently recruiting a dedicated Imaging Health Care Assistant to join the multidisciplinary team at Lyca Health, Orpington.

What You Will Do

• Provide essential administrative and clinical support within the Imaging Department, assisting across modalities including Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and Cross-Sectional Imaging.

• Prepare and support patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring their comfort and aftercare are managed with compassion.

• Assist radiologists and breast radiologists during specialized procedures like Ultrasound-guided Fine Needle Aspirations (FNAs), biopsies, and aspirations by setting up equipment and handling sample management to pathology.

• Promote patient independence and maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and high standards of care at all times.

What We Are Looking For

• An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) alongside a basic standard of general education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.

• Previous hands-on experience working in a care environment with a compassionate, team-oriented approach.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional attitude toward maintaining patient confidentiality and professional boundaries (knowledge of radiology workflows like RIS/PACS is a wonderful bonus!).

• Valid evidence of the right to work in the UK and a satisfactory DBS check.
