Pay Rate: £13.24 per hour plus shift premium and benefits

Hours: 38.5 hours per week, working on a 4-on-4-off rota including nights and weekends (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)

About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Co-op Funeralcare to recruit a dedicated Night Ambulance Crew member for their specialist 24/7 service based in Bristol.

As part of our specialist night operation, you will handle the collection and transportation of the deceased during night hours, ensuring families receive continuous, seamless support. No prior funeral industry experience is needed—full, comprehensive training and ongoing support are provided from day one!

What You'll Be Doing

• Night Collections: Collect the deceased during the night from a variety of locations and scenarios in a professional, empathetic, and dignified manner.

• Funeral Home Support: Carry out support activities at the funeral home, including the care and preparation of the deceased.

• Team Handover & Admin: Work closely with the wider team to ensure a clear handover for daytime colleagues, updating and maintaining records on written and digital platforms.

• Logistics: Report directly to the Care Logistics Manager and carry out instructions with high attention to detail.

Working Pattern & Important Requirements

• Hours: Full-time, 38.5 hours per week on a regular 4-on-4-off rota, working night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM (including nights and weekends).

• Driving License: A full manual UK driving licence is strictly required for this role.

• Commutability: Applicants must live within a reliable, commutable distance of Bristol.

• Important Note on Duties: Positions within Funeralcare involve direct physical contact with the deceased and manual lifting tasks. Please carefully consider your comfort levels with these responsibilities before applying.
