Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – Rotating Days & Nights (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Greencore (following their recent combination with Bakkavor) to find skilled operations talent. Greencore is a leading creator of convenience food, employing over 28,000 colleagues across 36 manufacturing sites and 21 distribution depots.
At their Leeds facility—where they produce over 40% of all UK frozen Yorkshire puddings for major retailers like Asda, Morrisons, and Tesco—we are currently looking for a dedicated Machine Operator to join their Green Shift team on a rotating 4-on-4-off schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Machinery & Maintenance: Partner with Line Support, Hygiene, Shift Managers, and Engineering teams to troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain operational assets.
Problem Solving: Swiftly resolve mechanical and procedural issues to keep production running efficiently.
Quality & Safety: Complete quality documentation, check Critical Control Points (CCPs) for product safety, and adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health & Safety regulations.
Efficiency Optimization: Help interpret production plans to improve quality and line efficiency based on equipment, planning, and crewing insights (full training provided).
What We Are Looking For
Technical Experience: Practical experience troubleshooting and maintaining factory machinery is required.
Industry Background: Experience working within a food manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
Communication & Organization: Good understanding of spoken and written English, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Flexibility: Fully able to work alternating day and night shifts on a 4-on-4-off rota.
