Supportive Bridge Staffing is excited to partner with Lift Firth Park to recruit an enthusiastic, adaptable, and dynamic Cover Supervisor.
This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring teachers, graduates, or experienced education support staff looking to gain valuable classroom leadership experience in a supportive school environment. In this role, you will step in during planned and unplanned teacher absences to supervise classes across various subjects and year groups. Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials, you will ensure students stay focused, supported, and making steady academic progress.
Classroom Supervision: Guide students through set tasks using pre-prepared materials provided by class teachers across different subjects and age groups.
Positive Learning Environment: Maintain a calm, respectful, and focused classroom atmosphere using positive behavior management techniques.
Inclusive Support: Assist students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to help them access materials and reach their individual learning goals.
Communication & Handover: Provide clear feedback to returning teachers regarding student progress, completed work, and any classroom achievements or challenges.
Wider Academy Duties: Assist with student supervision during break times and lunchtimes as required.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade 4/C or equivalent).
A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification.
Practical experience working with children and young people in an educational or youth environment.
Valid UK Right to Work (this position cannot offer visa sponsorship).

Confident classroom presence with a solid understanding of positive behavior management techniques.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with students and staff.
High emotional intelligence, patience, empathy, and resilience under pressure.
Adaptability to manage changing daily routines and priorities across various subject areas.
