In this rewarding part-time role, you will help run a profitable, customer-focused store that acts as the "window of the British Red Cross" on the high street. Every day brings a mix of front-of-house customer service and behind-the-scenes coordination, allowing you to sharpen your retail skills while supporting vital humanitarian work both in the UK and abroad.
Store Operations & Merchandising: Collaborate with the shop manager to run a dynamic, profitable, and visually engaging shop that delivers an exceptional shopping environment.
Volunteer Leadership: Oversee, support, and mentor a dedicated team of volunteers, handling their inductions, daily management, and ongoing development.
Customer Experience: Act as a true people-person, fostering a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every customer receives top-tier service.
Commercial & Administrative Support: Keep an eye on financial targets, utilize good IT skills for day-to-day operations, and work flexibly to meet the changing needs of the store.
Experience: Proven background working within a retail environment with hands-on shop floor experience.
Core Skills: Commercial awareness with a good understanding of financial targets, alongside strong IT literacy.
Interpersonal Strengths: Excellent communication skills, a passion for team-building, and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Financial & Pension: £25,213 pro-rata salary and up to a 6% contributory pension scheme.
