At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we link creative and compassionate support staff with leading care environments across the UK. We are currently recruiting an energetic Activities Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare for Iris Court Care Home in Gosmore, Hertfordshire.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Activities Assistant working weekends, you will help deliver imaginative, fun, and varied activity programmes that make Saturdays and Sundays fulfilling and enjoyable for residents. This part-time permanent position offers a wonderful opportunity to build close connections with residents, helping them pursue their favourite hobbies, maintain independence, and engage with friends, family, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in organising and running a diverse range of group activities, pastimes, and one-to-one sessions on weekends.
Help plan and support weekend social gatherings, entertainment, and social activities.
Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities tailored to their individual interests and abilities.
Foster a warm, motivational atmosphere that enhances resident wellbeing and independence.

No prior care experience is necessary—we are simply looking for creative, warm-hearted individuals with a passion for helping others.
Requirements & Attributes:
Availability: Able to work consistently on weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM).
Personality: Creative, empathetic, enthusiastic, and driven by a genuine sense of fun.
Skills: Strong communication skills with the natural ability to motivate and encourage others.
Mindset: A real interest in getting to know older adults and enriching their everyday lives.
Experience: All backgrounds are welcome; full training and skill development programs will be provided.
