Positioned within an established NHS Foundation Trust, this role offers an exceptional senior leadership opportunity to oversee day-to-day ward operations and drive high-quality patient outcomes.
In this full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, you will lead a multidisciplinary team within a 24-bedded mixed-sex rehabilitation ward caring for individuals recovering from illness, injury, surgery, or long-term health needs. You will foster a compassionate, patient-centred culture while taking operational responsibility for clinical standards, discharge planning, quality improvement, and staff development.
Role Description
As a Band 7 Ward Manager, you will provide strategic clinical leadership, operational management, and compassionate patient care oversight to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day operational leadership, resource management, and clinical oversight for a 24-bedded rehabilitation ward.
Lead, mentor, and empower a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-standard, evidence-based, and patient-centred rehabilitation care.
Drive Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives, robust discharge planning, safeguarding compliance, and infection prevention standards across the ward.
Requirements
Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse with proven leadership experience in a ward management role.
Strong expertise in multi-disciplinary team leadership, safeguarding protocols, infection control, and clinical quality improvement.
Compassionate and patient-focused leadership style combined with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Benefits
Calculated hourly rate of £25.33 to £28.98 per hour (based on £49,387 - £56,515 per annum across a standard 37.5-hour work week).
