Job Title: Theatre Practitioner Scrub - Orthopaedics/Spinal
Location: Cromwell Hospital, London, SW5 0TU (Just a 5-minute walk from Earls Court underground or 7 minutes from Gloucester Road underground)
Salary: £37,080 to £46,890 per annum + £3,000 Golden Hello (or £5,000 towards domestic relocation costs)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week; flexible shift patterns including Long Days 07:30–21:00, Early 07:45–15:45, and Late 13:00–21:00)
We are partnering with the world-renowned Cromwell Hospital in London—a busy, dynamic environment featuring 6 state-of-the-art operating suites and setting the benchmark for clinical excellence—to find a skilled Theatre Practitioner Scrub specialising in Orthopaedics and Spinal surgery. At Cromwell Hospital, you will work alongside top-tier specialists handling everything from simple procedures to complex surgeries, with access to a cutting-edge Clinical Training Academy equipped with advanced simulation and VR technology.
As a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner through Supportive Bridge, you will ensure the highest quality, cost-effective service in a safe environment, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional perioperative patient care.
Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate perioperative patient care, preparing patients for clinical and operative procedures in both anaesthetics and surgery.
Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients as directed by the surgical team, ensuring specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched.
Provide immediate post-operative care and take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner to ensure patient, visitor, and staff safety.
Adhere to supply procedures, order department requirements, and ensure accurate data collection regarding theatre activity.
Participate in the delegation, supervision, and mentorship of junior grades, unqualified staff, and less experienced team members.
NMC Registered Nurse (Adult and/or Children) OR HCPC registered with a Diploma/Degree in Health Care Studies, ODP Level 3 NVQ, or ODA 752.
Essential previous perioperative experience in Orthopaedics and Spinal surgery.
Desirable experience in Da Vinci Robotic and liver procedures.
