Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems—a global leader in defence, aerospace, and security—to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Graduate Electronic Systems Systems Engineer in Rochester.

As part of the world-leading Electronic Systems team with a 70-year heritage of excellence, you will contribute to cutting-edge controls and display solutions across commercial and military platforms, including Head-Up/Head-Worn Displays (such as the Striker II Helmet), safety-critical pilot controls, and flight control computers. This permanent graduate role provides an incredible platform to develop a broad knowledge base across land, sea, and airborne platforms.

Role Overview

As a Graduate Systems Engineer, you will engage in the collaborative development and supply of advanced products. You will utilize a Model Based Engineering (MBE) approach, create theoretical analyses, and conduct behavioural modelling to understand system operations and interactions. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, you will help shape the future of real-time systems combining electronic, mechanical, optical, and software components.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Contribute to system development using a Model Based Engineering (MBE) approach.

• Create theoretical analyses and share key findings with engineering teams.

• Carry out modelling of behavioural scenarios and system performance to understand interactions and inform product improvements.

• Conduct laboratory testing of real-time systems comprising interdependent electronic, mechanical, optical, and software components.

• Collaborate across teams to develop, validate, and manage rigorous product requirements.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Academic Background: Must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree (or a pass at Master's level) in any STEM subject.

• Working Arrangement: Willingness and capability to work on-site in Rochester 3 to 4 days per week.

• Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must meet national identity, birthplace, and residency criteria.
