Nestled on a quiet street between the Branksome and Parkstone areas of Poole—within easy reach of both Poole and Bournemouth—Beach House is a welcoming residential home. The service offers specialist assessment and residential support for seven individuals living with learning disabilities, autism, complex conditions, and communication difficulties. The core mission at Beach House is to empower and encourage residents to develop essential life skills, building a level of independence that matches their personal confidence, skills, and aspirations.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, your positive attitude, patience, and passion for high-quality care will be your greatest strengths. Your daily responsibilities will include:

Person-Centered Care: Assisting qualified staff with the day-to-day assessment and implementation of individual resident care plans.
Empowering Independence: Undertaking routine tasks and therapeutic activities designed to facilitate the overall well-being, dignity, and treatment of residents.
Skill Development: Helping residents build daily routines, practical life skills, and the confidence needed to live as independently as possible.
Community Outings: Safely driving and accompanying residents on local community trips, recreational activities, and personal appointments.

What You'll Bring to the Role

Adult social care is incredibly rewarding but requires personal resilience, patience, and adaptability. The ideal candidate will bring:

A full UK driving licence for manual vehicles (Essential due to location and service needs).
A friendly, patient, and naturally empathetic approach to supporting others through both their highs and lows.
The resilience to handle a dynamic role where no two days are the same.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The capability to understand and strictly adhere to health, safety, and organizational care procedures.
