About the Role

Are you an experienced housekeeping professional with a talent for leadership and an eye for immaculate standards? We are seeking a dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead the team at The Manor, a 74-bedded residential, nursing, and dementia care home in Edinburgh.

In this role, you will take charge of the housekeeping department, guiding your team to ensure every corner of the home is pristine, safe, and welcoming—making it the best possible place for our residents to live and work.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department and team.

• Develop, implement, and monitor cleaning schedules to comply with strict health and safety standards.

• Lead, mentor, and support housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service.

• Conduct regular quality audits and facility assessments to continuously improve standards.

• Manage inventory control, order supplies, and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

• Foster positive, warm relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or leadership role, preferably within a healthcare or residential care setting.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
