The Role: What You’ll Do

Compass Homes are built around accepting a child exactly as they are in a non-judgmental way. You will help our children experience childhood, build self-esteem, and safely navigate their journey into adulthood.

Your daily impact will involve:

Holistic Support: Facilitating children’s activities, attending appointments, and supporting them in all aspects of their daily lives.
Creating a Home: Supporting the wider team with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and food shopping.
Safeguarding: Ensuring the health, wellbeing, and safety of young people at all times, some of whom may require high levels of supervision.
Administration: Managing paperwork, creating structured timetables, and writing daily reports.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for determined, caring, and thoughtful people to become long-lasting, significant adults in a child’s life.

Age: 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
Licence: Must hold a valid manual driving licence.
Traits: Caring, compassionate, and able to remain calm and grounded in challenging situations.
Experience: Not essential! We hire for potential, not perfection.

💡 Outstanding Training Provided: Our Skills to Care induction includes two separate weeks of classroom-based training and a week of shadow shifts. We will also fully fund and support you to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within your first 12 months.
