At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a permanent Night Care Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the team at Marnel Lodge Care Home in Basingstoke.
In this vital nocturnal position, you will play an essential role in keeping residents safe, comfortable, and well-cared-for during night hours. From assisting with evening settling routines and night-time care needs to carrying out regular monitoring checks and offering warm, comforting companionship, your presence will ensure our residents feel secure at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Overnight Care & Comfort: Assist residents with evening routines, personal hygiene, night-time mobility, and settling comfortably into bed.
Regular Safety Checks: Perform routine night monitoring checks to safeguard resident safety and wellbeing throughout the shift.
Care Plan Compliance: Strictly follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate night records for smooth morning handovers.
Reassuring Companionship: Provide immediate, empathetic support and a comforting presence to residents who wake up or experience anxiety during the night.
About You
Experience: Prior experience caring for older adults (in a professional setting or personal capacity).
Key Strengths: Excellent communication skills, strong empathy, and a practical "can-do" mindset.
Core Qualities: Dependable, patient, warm-hearted, and comfortable working a consistent night shift pattern.
