We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd (operating via Derbyshire Connect)—the UK’s leading provider of medical and community equipment services to the NHS and local authorities—as they look for a dedicated Responder to cover the High Peak Area.
About the Role
As a Responder, you will play a crucial, frontline role in supporting vulnerable, elderly, and disabled individuals to stay safe, confident, and independent in their own homes. You will respond promptly to emergency alarm calls in line with TSA regulations, assessing individual needs and providing vital on-site support.
Additionally, you will install and maintain Technology Enabled Care (TEC) equipment, empowering users and their families while actively promoting these essential services within the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to emergency alarm calls in line with TSA regulations.
Assess individual client needs and deliver appropriate, person-centred support.
Install, maintain, and collect TEC equipment, demonstrating usage to users and families.
Promote community care services locally to help more individuals access vital support.
Work a structured 12-hour shift pattern (4 on, 4 off, rotating days and nights).
About You
You possess a caring, responsible nature and a genuine desire to help others. Experience in a carer, support, or community role is highly desirable.
Location Requirement: Must be based in or around the High Peak area and able to travel to any location within the High Peak Area within 45 minutes.
Driving Requirements: Full UK driving licence and access to a suitably insured vehicle.
Personal Qualities: Empathetic, adaptable, resilient, and dedicated to maintaining client dignity and safety.
Right to Work: Candidates must possess the full, satisfactory right to work in the UK (this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship).
