Salary: Up to £39,658 per annum (Depending on experience)

About the Role: Clinical Excellence in a Residential Setting

Working as a vital part of the specialist Therapeutic Services team, you will bring Compass Community's evidence-based Assessing and Healing Complex Trauma (AHCT) framework to life. You won't just be working with the children; you will be the champion of therapeutic practice across the home—coaching residential teams, embedding trauma-informed care, and facilitating reflective practice groups.

Where applicable, you will also play an active part in developing a recognized therapeutic community under the prestigious Community of Communities programme, guided by the Royal College of Psychiatry in London.

What You’ll Be Doing

Staff Coaching & Development: Mentor and upskill residential care teams to successfully embed trauma- and attachment-informed practices into daily life.
Reflective Practice: Lead reflective groups for staff members to help them process, learn, and grow from challenging residential scenarios.
Nurturing Environments: Help design and maintain deeply supportive, therapeutic spaces tailored specifically for children with learning disabilities.
Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with wider clinical, education, and care teams to review child progression and ensure the highest standards of holistic care.

What You Bring to the Team

Experience: A minimum of 2 years working with children in care, specifically supporting children with learning disabilities.
Knowledge: A robust, nuanced understanding of complex trauma, attachment theory, and child development.
Qualifications: Formal therapeutic training or qualifications (or actively working towards them).
Skills: The natural confidence to guide, develop, and coach others, paired with an empathetic and highly resilient approach.
Logistics: A full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel locally between services.
