Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our trusted justice and healthcare partners for an experienced and motivated Senior Forensic Psychologist.
Based within the Psychological Services Team at HMP Doncaster, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychological services within a progressive and ambitious establishment. Working at the heart of a multidisciplinary environment, your psychological expertise will directly shape risk management, treatment planning, rehabilitative culture, and organizational decision-making.
Specialist Assessment & Intervention: Deliver high-quality forensic risk assessments, formulations, and interventions for both determinate and indeterminate sentence prisoners with complex needs.
Risk Management & Reporting: Contribute to effective risk management and produce specialist reports for formal settings, including Parole Board oral hearings, MAPPA meetings, and multidisciplinary reviews.
Staff Consultation & Training: Provide consultancy, training, and clinical guidance to operational and non-operational staff across the facility.
Rehabilitative Culture: Play an active role in developing and embedding a positive, values-driven rehabilitative culture throughout the establishment.
Supervision & Mentorship: Supervise and support Qualified Forensic Psychologists and Forensic Psychologists in Training (FPiTs), driving professional excellence.
Service Development: Contribute to ongoing service development, innovation, and the implementation of emerging best practices in offender rehabilitation.
Professional Registration: Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and/or registered as a Forensic Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience: Proven post-qualification experience working within secure settings, conducting risk assessments, and building clinical formulations for individuals with complex needs.
Communication & Advocacy: Highly skilled in producing advanced reports and presenting clinical evidence confidently in formal settings.
Core Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the Offender Personality Disorder pathway and contemporary evidence-based rehabilitation frameworks.
Desirable Criteria: Registration on the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS/RAAPS), prison environment experience, and specialized assessment skills (such as PCL-R or IPDE).
