Building Services Engineer

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of Supportive Bridge Limited for a skilled and proactive Building Services Engineer to support site operations across Central and Greater London, UK.

In this comprehensive facilities role, you will manage planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs for entire sites—from structural maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical systems. Working 40 hours per week, you will utilize electronic CAFM systems to ensure continuous facility uptime, compliance, and operational excellence.

Role Description

As a Building Services Engineer, you will maintain HVAC systems, heating, mechanical plant equipment, swimming pools, and surrounding grounds. You will manage compliance testing including water hygiene, PAT, emergency lighting, and Building Management Systems (BMS), leading by example to uphold high environmental and facility standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end site maintenance, covering mechanical plant, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and swimming pool facilities.

• Execute statutory compliance tasks including water hygiene monitoring, PAT testing, emergency lighting checks, and BMS optimization.

• Log, track, and resolve maintenance tasks through an electronic CAFM system while maintaining a planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule.

Requirements

• Formal Electrical qualification (17th/18th Edition or equivalent) with strong working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).

• Proven experience in property maintenance, facility management, or building services within large commercial or industrial facilities.

• Direct experience managing compliance areas such as water hygiene, emergency lighting, and electrical safety testing.
