Position Type: Fixed-Term Contract (Until end of June 2028 / 21 Months), Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £28,557.79 - £32,802.41 Per Annum (CGL points 23 to 28)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a flexible, empathetic, and dedicated fixed-term Recovery Coordinator to join their alcohol and non-opiate team based in Sunderland.
In this rewarding role, you will be part of a friendly, supportive multidisciplinary team helping service users navigate their alcohol and non-opiate recovery journey. From entry screening and structured group work to tailored workshops (e.g., anger management, sleep disorders, relationships) and social reintegration, you will empower individuals to build resilience and live life to their full potential.
Caseload & Care Planning: Support service users from point of entry through recovery, providing screening, assessment, care planning, and onward referrals.
Group Work & Workshops: Research, design, prepare, and deliver structured content and tailored workshops (such as anger management and relationships) within group settings.
Harm Reduction & Advocacy: Work to reduce alcohol-related harm, promote carer/community involvement, and provide advocacy for partnership services.
Collaboration & Governance: Work collaboratively across agencies, maintain accurate records, and adhere strictly to information governance processes.
Experience & Knowledge: Strong understanding of substance misuse issues, experience working within a similar field, and a good working knowledge of mental health interventions and good practice.
Group Facilitation: Experience working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics, such as handling conflict or challenging behavior.
Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good IT competency, and the ability to work proactively on your own initiative.
Requirements: Proactive, non-judgmental team player. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 extra day for each year of service during the first five years (up to 30 days).
