The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Active Directory (AD) Engineer to join a global enterprise IT environment, supporting and developing core infrastructure services across on-premise and cloud ecosystems.
This is a hands-on contract role focused heavily on the management, support, and full lifecycle of Active Directory and Microsoft enterprise infrastructure, backed by strong exposure to Azure and Microsoft Entra ID.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support Active Directory, including OU design, GPOs, Group Policy Preferences, Domain Controllers, and roles management.
Maintain core enterprise infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, WINS, and PKI/certificate services.
Support and administer Azure and Microsoft Entra ID services (Conditional Access, role/group management, Entra Connect, Authenticator, Intune policies, and Defender for Identity).
Facilitate secure Single Sign-On (SSO) and enterprise authentication services.
Execute server migrations, upgrades, security patching, and application migrations.
Partner with Information Security teams to ensure infrastructure compliance and troubleshoot complex service-impacting problems.
Provide technical leadership, documentation, and guidance to wider internal and external stakeholder teams.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of hands-on enterprise experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure environments.
Strong, practical expertise across Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Domain Controller administration.
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Entra ID services.
Extensive experience with PowerShell scripting for automation, modification, and testing.
Experience managing PKI, certificate services, SSO, and server migration lifecycles.
Desirable: F5 BIG-IP / load balancing exposure, Azure migration experience, and Microsoft or ITIL certifications.
