We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic Swimming Teacher to join the team on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT) across Oxford.
In this rewarding role, you will deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons following the tried-and-tested Swim England Learn to Swim framework. Whether building water confidence or coaching swimmers toward competitive levels, your work helps promote active, healthy lifestyles and teaches essential life-saving skills across the local community.
What You’ll Do
As a Swimming Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, safe, and progressive swimming lessons following the Swim England framework for diverse age groups and abilities.
Skill Development: Foster water confidence, safety awareness, and stroke progression to help swimmers advance through every stage of learning.
Customer Care: Interact warmly with customers and families, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and friendly environment on the poolside.
Safety & Standards: Maintain rigorous poolside safety standards and adhere to all health and safety guidelines.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or a Swim England (Previously ASA) Level 2 qualification.
Safety Certifications: Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous but not essential (free training can be provided to complete these courses if needed).
Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for teaching people of all backgrounds and abilities.
Vetting and Checks
This role requires a DBS check. To make starting seamless, we provide your safeguarding training and DBS checks free of charge, alongside full personal insurance coverage.
