Salary: £20,514.26 – £21,865.88 per annum (Actual Salary) + Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) & Lift Schools Benefits

Supportive Bridge Staffing is excited to partner with Lift Four Dwellings Secondary to recruit a dedicated, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor.
In this role, you will become a trusted adult within the school community, supervising lessons across various subjects during short-term teacher absences. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, foster a productive learning environment, and assist with "super cover" provisions alongside co-staff when multiple classes require supervision. This position is ideal for aspiring teachers, education graduates, or experienced cover staff looking to gain substantial experience in an ambitious secondary school.
Classroom & Super Cover Supervision: Supervise classes across subject areas using pre-prepared teaching materials; lead large-group "super cover" sessions alongside a secondary staff member when required.
Positive Behaviour & Engagement: Maintain a calm, safe, and ordered learning atmosphere, helping students stay focused, on-task, and motivated.
Inclusive SEND Support: Implement targets for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) and Individual Education Plans (IEP) to support students with special educational needs.
Attendance & Reporting: Record class attendance accurately, escalate pastoral or safeguarding concerns, and provide lesson feedback to returning subject teachers.
Wider Academy Duties: Support wider school activities, including break/lunchtime supervision and enrichment opportunities.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
GCSE Mathematics and English (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent).
Direct experience working with children and young people in an educational, youth, or support setting.
Core Skills & Qualities:
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills with a calm, resilient approach under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build quick, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Exceptional organizational capabilities and adaptability to handle shifting daily schedules.
