Kitchen Assistant - Bank

Supportive Bridge Limited is recruiting on behalf of Bupa for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant - Bank to join their welcoming care home in Watford, Hertfordshire, UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a kitchen environment and takes pride in delivering excellent service. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the kitchen team in preparing and serving nutritious meals while helping to create a positive dining experience for residents.

Working on a flexible bank contract, you will assist chefs with food preparation, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and ensure all food hygiene and safety regulations are followed. Key Responsibilities

Assist chefs with food preparation, meal plating, and serving.
Prepare food trolleys and ensure meals are delivered efficiently.
Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment.
Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH and HACCP procedures.
Support catering for special events and seasonal celebrations.
Work closely with kitchen and care teams to provide an excellent dining experience.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable.
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred.
Passion for preparing and serving quality food.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
