About the Role
As a Domestic Assistant, you are an essential part of the care team. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents, visitors, and staff, ensuring our care home truly feels like a home-from-home.
Key Responsibilities:
Keep all furniture, furnishings, fittings, walls, floors, and ceilings thoroughly clean and maintained.
Clean bedrooms on a weekly rotational basis and ensure all communal areas, bathrooms, en-suites, and toilets are cleaned daily.
Empty wastebaskets and manage clinical/general waste disposal safely in line with requirements.
Follow COSHH guidelines for safe chemical storage and re-stock paper products and dispensers as needed.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a caring, dedicated individual who takes pride in high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Experience & Skills: Able to manage pressure, prioritise tasks effectively, and communicate well at all levels. An understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 is beneficial.
Personal Attributes: A genuine interest in working in a social care environment, demonstrating care, compassion, and a strong team-player mindset.
Requirements: Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance of the care home.
