Supportive Bridge is recruiting on behalf of Elysium Healthcare for a Senior Healthcare Assistant (Maternity Cover) to join the team at St Neots Neurological Centre in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, UK.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant who is passionate about supporting people with neurological conditions and mental health needs. This maternity cover opportunity offers the chance to lead shifts, mentor colleagues, and deliver exceptional person-centred care within a specialist rehabilitation service.

About the Role

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of shifts, supervise support staff, administer medication, and ensure the wellbeing and safety of service users. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll play an important role in helping individuals progress through their rehabilitation journey.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate daily care shifts.
Deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
Supervise and support Healthcare Assistants.
Administer medication safely.
Complete care documentation and health & safety checks.
Organise activities that promote wellbeing and independence.
Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
Promote a safe, positive and supportive care environment.

Requirements

Previous Senior Healthcare Assistant or Senior Support Worker experience
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
Leadership and supervisory skills
Experience supporting people with mental health or neurological conditions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, reliable and professional approach
