As a Maintenance Operative for the AASC (Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract) team in Nottingham East, you will provide general property maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across a designated portfolio of properties. Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, your work ensures high property standards, safety compliance, and efficient response times.
Property Maintenance: Deliver general maintenance services, conducting repairs and reporting/closing faults using the AORA IT system.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all properties remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. Review risk assessments, safety reports (e.g., asbestos, dangerous persons protocols), and method statements before starting work.
Inventory & Materials: Repair or replace Serco-supplied furniture to meet contract standards, purchasing materials/PPE strictly through approved suppliers and tracking receipts.
Waste & Grounds: Safely clear and dispose of all work-related waste in approved licensed/recycling areas and undertake basic garden maintenance duties as required.
Scheduling: Prioritize and complete allocated KPI work ahead of deadlines, moving on to general defects and scheduled planned maintenance (e.g., PAT and HHSRS annual reports).
We are looking for a practical, organized individual with hands-on skills who enjoys working independently on patch.
Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential for this role, as travel within the region is required.
Experience: Practical general DIY experience and an ability to troubleshoot property maintenance issues.
