Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our trusted healthcare partners for a passionate and motivated Physical Health & Wellbeing Coach to join a specialist rehabilitation service in Warrington, UK.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified fitness professional who is passionate about improving lives through physical activity, health education, and rehabilitation. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support adults with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and mental health conditions by delivering tailored fitness programmes that promote recovery, independence, and long-term wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Health & Wellbeing Coach, you will:

Deliver personalised one-to-one and group fitness sessions.
Design safe, evidence-based exercise and healthy lifestyle programmes.
Educate individuals on fitness, nutrition, and overall wellbeing.
Adapt exercise programmes based on patient progress and clinical needs.
Support patients with complex physical and psychological health needs.
Deliver a variety of activities including gym sessions, team sports, swimming, and community-based wellbeing programmes.
Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress in line with care plans.
Work closely with Practice Nurses, Lead Nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ensure gym equipment and facilities remain safe and fit for use.
Contribute to patient care planning, reviews, and service development initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification (or equivalent).
Relevant Sports Coaching qualification.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Excellent communication and motivational skills.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Compassionate, resilient, and patient-focused approach.
Experience delivering one-to-one and group fitness programmes.

Desirable

Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
Pool Management certification.
Experience within mental health, forensic, rehabilitation, or secure healthcare settings.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Knowledge of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) and mental health legislation.
