Positioned within one of the largest and most prestigious NHS hospital trusts in the country, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to deliver patient-centred clinical care across diverse specialist areas, including Critical Care, Neuro/Major Trauma, Cardiothoracic, and General Critical Care.

Role Description

As a Band 5 Staff Nurse / ODP, you will assess, plan, and deliver high-quality clinical care to patients, including critically ill individuals, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-standard, compassionate nursing or perioperative care to patients within specialized clinical units.

• Perform clinical assessments, risk management, and therapeutic interventions while maintaining clear communication with patients and families.

• Collaborate with medical, surgical, and allied health professionals to coordinate care and ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse or HCPC registration as an ODP (applications also welcomed from nursing students qualifying in September 2026).

• Previous clinical experience in acute or critical care settings is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication, listening, and organizational skills with proven personal resilience.
