Salary: £64,234 – £74,905 per annum (pro rata), enhanced by 30% for evening work and 45% for weekend work
Contract Type / Working Pattern: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), covering a varied, fast-paced unscheduled care shift pattern

As an Advanced Practitioner with our supportive bridge staffing agency, you will join our dynamic team at the Royal Derby Hospital Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), where making critical decisions changes lives every single day. Working within a specialized unscheduled care model, you will practise as an autonomous clinician responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing patients presenting with a wide spectrum of minor injuries and acute illnesses.
Deliver autonomous clinical care, evaluating and managing patients presenting with diverse minor injuries and illnesses across all age groups.
Utilize advanced physical assessment, examination skills, and diagnostic tools to determine safe, effective treatment and referral pathways.
Collaborate closely within a multidisciplinary team of experienced Advanced Practitioners, GPs, and nursing colleagues.
Demonstrate clinical excellence, support service efficiency, and mentor colleagues within a fast-paced environment.
Registered Adult Nurse (NMC), Paramedic (HCPC), or Pharmacist (GPhC) with active independent non-medical prescribing rights and consolidated prescribing experience.
Minimum of 2 Level 7 modules, including at least one covering advanced clinical assessment and examination skills (e.g., Advanced Patient Assessment/Management or Minor Illness/Injuries).
Proven background in urgent, emergency, walk-in, primary care, or out-of-hours clinical settings.
Demonstrated capability in autonomous physical assessment, with experience or a strong willingness to develop skills in X-ray interpretation.
