Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour

We are excited to represent Avery Healthcare in their search for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Wellbeing and Activities Assistant to join the award-winning team at Elton House Care Home in Watford.
The Role
Are you passionate about enriching lives and bringing joy, creativity, and connection to older adults? As a Wellbeing and Activities Assistant, your focus will be to support the Wellbeing Coordinator in providing a wide range of engaging activities designed to stimulate residents' physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining a safe living and working environment while contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
Reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff.
Assisting with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
Supporting the establishment of links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums, and libraries) to encourage wider community access and promote intergenerational activities.

Requirements:
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
A clear understanding of the vital role social interaction plays in overall wellbeing.
A positive attitude toward older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, high-quality activities and social events.
Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing or dementia care setting.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (the cost of which is fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
