About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of Serco Leisure and Birmingham Community Leisure Trust for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Leisure Operations Manager.
Based at Northfield Leisure Centre, you will lead the day-to-day operations of a busy facility that encourages active, healthy lifestyles across the local community. Working in a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, you will play a crucial role in supporting community wellbeing, driving commercial growth, and helping people enjoy healthier, happier lives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the facility, ensuring it remains safe, warm, clean, friendly, and welcoming for all visitors.
Commercial Performance: Support the General Manager in driving commercial growth, achieving performance targets, and maintaining operational efficiency.
Health & Safety Culture: Build and maintain a robust safety culture, ensuring full compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
Team Development: Lead, motivate, and develop Duty Manager teams, creating headroom for colleagues to grow and achieve their full potential.
Data-Driven Insights: Use performance data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor standards, identify opportunities, and implement impactful solutions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong, positive relationships with customers, local stakeholders, and the wider community to support service excellence.
What You’ll Need
Experience: Proven operational leadership experience gained within facilities management or a similar dynamic environment.
Leadership Skills: Strong ability to engage, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
Health & Safety Mindset: A proactive approach to compliance, risk management, and statutory safety requirements.
Analytical Capability: Skilled at analysing performance data and translating insights into continuous operational improvements.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a steadfast commitment to customer service.
