About the Role
We are partnering with the highly rated Red Court Care Home in Croydon to find an enthusiastic and passionate Kitchen Assistant on a flexible bank contract. Red Court is dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice to help residents live their best lives.
As a Kitchen Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will be part of the magic behind every delicious dish served to our guests. You will act as an essential link between the main kitchen and our residents, taking great pride in food preparation and helping to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the vital link between the main kitchen and our residents, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Assist chefs in plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and maintaining immaculate, clean, and tidy preparation areas.
Monitor stock rotation, comply with company policies, and strictly follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
Assist with catering for special events, including summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
What We Are Looking For
A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
A strong commitment to delivering excellent service and helping residents feel right at home.
Excellent communication skills, comfort working collaboratively with wider kitchen and care home teams, and a caring nature that cherishes the little moments with residents.
