Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit an enthusiastic, dedicated, and outcome-focused Recovery Worker on a sessional basis. Joining the successful Ealing Drug and Alcohol Team within the RISE consortium, you will support homeless individuals with substance use needs who face complex challenges, including unstable housing, poor health, safeguarding concerns, and limited support networks.
In this hands-on, community-based role, you will engage in assertive outreach, build trusted relationships with hard-to-reach service users who have adopted street-based living, and help them move into safe, settled, and sustainable lifestyles.
Assertive Outreach: Engage proactively with individuals experiencing homelessness and street-based substance use, offering flexible, effective interventions.
Caseload & Care Management: Empower service users to make sustainable changes, coordinate care packages, and build personal strengths and social networks.
Partnership & Advocacy: Build and maintain effective relationships with local services, creating smooth pathways and representing the organization.
Flexible Working: Work autonomously as well as part of a team, demonstrating patience and resilience when supporting clients with complex needs or challenging behaviors (including occasional unsociable hours as required).
Core Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills with high IT literacy (Microsoft Office applications).
Approach & Resilience: Confidence to work autonomously, build relationships with challenging or reluctant clients, and critically reflect on service delivery.
Professional Competence: Ability to manage a dedicated caseload, represent the organization professionally, and work flexible hours when needed.
Requirements: Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check). Desirable backgrounds include previous outreach, homelessness, or substance misuse sector experience.
