Role Description

As a Graduate Electronic Systems Test Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining software that supports automated test systems. You will build expertise in integrating software, hardware, and test equipment to deliver reliable test solutions, while investigating and resolving system issues. Working collaboratively across engineering teams, you will apply problem-solving skills, communication, and teamwork to support advanced product development and testing.

Core Duties

• Develop software using LabVIEW, TestStand, and internal engineering tools.

• Support the deployment and maintenance of test system hardware and software.

• Integrate and verify test systems for both development and production environments.

• Analyze and resolve software, hardware, and test system faults.

• Create technical documentation and support test procedures.

• Collaborate closely with experienced engineers across software, systems, and hardware disciplines.

Eligibility & Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the defense sector, applicants are subject to strict security and export control restrictions:

• Nationality & Birthplace: Factors such as your nationality, previously held nationalities, and place of birth may restrict eligibility.

• Security Clearance: All applicants must achieve, as a minimum, the Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, typically requiring 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK.

Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for this graduate position, you must have obtained—or be predicted to obtain—a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree or a pass at Master’s level in one of the following subjects:

• Computer Science

• Electrical / Electronic Engineering
