ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, attractive, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will carry out a wide variety of day-to-day maintenance, repair, and safety check tasks across the building and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake routine maintenance, minor repairs, painting, and basic upkeep across the property and grounds.
Conduct regular health and safety audits, water temperature checks, and fire safety testing in accordance with guidelines.
Ensure all resident rooms, communal areas, and exterior environments give a clean, welcoming, and high-quality first impression.
Respond promptly to day-to-day maintenance requests from staff and residents.
Help prepare resident rooms for new arrivals, maintaining high standards throughout the home.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a handy, dependable individual with a patient nature and a genuine interest in supporting older adults.
Requirements & Experience:
Prior practical experience in property maintenance, general handyman work, or facilities support.
A practical, hands-on mindset with the ability to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks.
A patient, considerate, and caring personality suitable for a residential care environment.
Strong reliability, attention to detail, and awareness of health and safety standards.
