Location: Richmond Village, Richmond Drive, Off Maple Drive, DE72 2EA (On-site work location—no travel required)
Rate of Pay: £13.10 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time (Opportunities available for days and nights)
Working Patterns:
Days: 7:00am to 11:00am OR 7:00am to 1:00pm
Nights: 7:00pm to 7:00am
About the Role
We are partnering with Richmond Aston Village to find a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant on a permanent, part-time contract. Richmond Villages are retirement community providers dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice to help residents live their best lives.
As a Domiciliary Care Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will cover a variety of duties across onsite apartments and the onsite care home—providing domiciliary, residential, nursing, and dementia care as required to ensure residents truly get the most out of life.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, and continence care in their own village apartments, championing their dignity and independence.
Support at mealtimes by serving meals in apartments or the care home, assisting with mobility (walking, wheelchair transfers, or using hoists).
Promote the mental and physical activity of residents through hobbies, interests, and village activities, and respond to emergency calls when care alert systems are activated.
Collaborate with the Domiciliary Care Manager and external professionals (GPs, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, chiropodists).
Maintain full administrative documentation, recording care given, activities, and any changes in health.
What We Are Looking For
Experience working in a care or dementia setting, or a Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is ideal.
A true passion for caring for others, respecting personal choices, and putting safety and welfare first.
A great listener with a positive outlook, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and teamwork.
