About the Role
As a Bank Chef, you will step in during planned or unplanned staff absences to work with fresh, seasonal produce, creating wholesome, flavoursome, and nutritious dishes tailored to residents' tastes and nutritional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Leadership & Cover: Help manage the kitchen and inspire the team in the Head Chef’s absence.
Culinary Excellence: Prepare high-quality, wholesome meals using fresh seasonal ingredients cooked to top standards.
Menu Planning: Work alongside residents to tailor flavoursome, nutritious, and balanced menus.
Kitchen Operations: Assist with stock control, regular audits, budget management, and strict adherence to HACCP guidelines.
About You
We are looking for a warm, motivated chef who is passionate about quality food, hygiene, and resident wellbeing.
Requirements:
Qualifications: City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ (or equivalent) in Professional Cookery.
Culinary & Hygiene Expertise: Solid working knowledge of fresh seasonal produce, nutrition, and HACCP compliance.
Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to help lead, motivate, and maintain a warm, efficient kitchen environment.
Interpersonal Skills: A personable approach and genuine interest in the health and happiness of residents.
