We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Connect—a leading provider of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services supporting over 41,000 vulnerable, older, and disabled people nationwide—as they look for a dedicated Mobile Emergency Responder to join their team.
About the Role
As a Mobile Emergency Responder, you will act as a vital lifeline between vulnerable clients and the urgent support they need. Working from home on a flexible 24/7 rota, you will respond directly to alarm activations dispatched from the emergency response centre, attending client homes across the region to assess situations, provide reassurance, and assist.
You will also handle equipment installations, maintenance, and referrals, ensuring clients stay safe, confident, and independent at home.
Key Responsibilities:
Immediately respond to alarm calls, assessing the care and support needs of people at risk.
Deliver or facilitate appropriate on-site support and emergency coordination.
Handle referrals, maintenance, and the installation of alarm equipment at client premises, explaining how devices work.
Undertake ‘last resort’ personal care during callouts when required to maintain a client's dignity.
Assist with the promotion of the service within local communities.
About You
You don't need previous industry experience—full training will be provided! What matters most is a responsible, caring nature, empathy, and a flexible approach to working hours.
Driving Requirements: You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to an appropriately insured and taxed vehicle for business use.
Personal Qualities: Compassionate, reliable, level-headed under pressure, and dedicated to promoting client dignity and independence.
Right to Work: Candidates must possess the full, satisfactory right to work in the UK (this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship).
