Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a dedicated and passionate permanent Group Facilitator to work within the secure environment of HMP Liverpool.
In this vital role, you will help individuals address their drug and alcohol use across all aspects of their treatment journey. Collaborating with the service lead, you will design and deliver evidence-based Psychosocial Interventions (PSI) and group programmes that align with the prison regime, guiding participants from early contemplation of change through to sustained recovery, release planning, and aftercare.
Group Work & Facilitation: Assess suitability for groups (considering risk and special needs), design evidence-based session materials, and deliver process-orientated PSI group programmes.
Care Planning & Support: Prepare individual recovery plans, motivate service users to actively engage, and support them in preparing for release by collaborating with external agencies.
Partnership & Development: Build strong working relationships with local and regional mutual aid groups to create delivery opportunities within the prison.
Governance & Safeguarding: Maintain accurate recovery interventions, follow information governance protocols, and successfully obtain/maintain HMPPS security clearance and prison vetting.
Experience & Background: Strong understanding of substance misuse issues with experience working within a similar field—ideally within a prison or criminal justice setting.
Psychosocial Knowledge: Practical knowledge of Psychosocial Interventions including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Node-link Mapping (ITEP/BTEI).
Communication & Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and IT skills, with proven experience delivering process-orientated group work and managing group dynamics.
Requirements: Resilient team player. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check and HMPPS security clearance).
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 extra day for each year of service during the first five years (up to 30 days).
