Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with BAE Systems—a global leader in defence, aerospace, and security—to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Undergraduate Electronic Systems Test Systems Engineer for a 12-month placement in Rochester.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and maintaining software that powers automated test systems. You will work side-by-side with experienced multi-disciplinary engineers, integrating software, hardware, and cutting-edge test equipment to deliver reliable test solutions for world-leading technologies like the Striker II Helmet and advanced flight control computers.
Develop and maintain software utilizing LabVIEW, TestStand, and internal engineering tools.
Support the deployment, verification, and maintenance of test system hardware and software across development and production environments.
Analyze, investigate, and effectively resolve software, hardware, and system faults.
Create comprehensive technical documentation and support standard test procedures.
Collaborate daily with seasoned professionals across software, systems, and hardware engineering disciplines.
Academic Background: Currently on track to achieve at least a 2:2 Bachelor’s degree (or a pass at Master's level) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Skills & Attributes: Strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent interpersonal communication, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
Working Arrangement: Willingness and ability to work on-site in Rochester, Kent, 4 to 5 days per week.
Security Clearance: Must meet the minimum requirement to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Note: Due to security and export control restrictions, candidates must be mindful of nationality and residency requirements for defense-sector roles.
