We are currently recruiting on behalf of Medequip Connect—a leading provider of Technology Enabled Care (TEC) services supporting over 50,000 vulnerable, older, and disabled people nationwide—as they look for a dedicated TEC Trusted Assessor Installer to join their team in North Somerset.
About the Role
As a Trusted Assessor Technician, you will play a vital role in assessing, recommending, and installing Technology Enabled Care (TEC) solutions directly in the community. You will help vulnerable, elderly, and disabled individuals maintain their independence, choice, and well-being at home.
This role blends clinical assessment, product expertise, and hands-on technical installation, ensuring equipment is safely fitted and users are fully empowered and confident in its use.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete TEC assessments in the community to identify appropriate standalone assistive technologies and solutions.
Conduct service calls, troubleshoot issues, demonstrate equipment, and collect unneeded stock.
Install and upgrade digital assistive technology safely, following manufacturer guidance and TSA Quality Standards.
Undertake dynamic risk assessments to guarantee safety for both yourself and service users.
Build strong working relationships with healthcare providers and maintain accurate, up-to-date service-user records.
Participate in clinical supervision, training, and equipment research/testing projects.
About You
You possess a strong understanding of how disability and frailty affect daily life, backed by a caring and empathetic approach.
Experience: Experience working with vulnerable adults (including those with mental health needs, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or older adults), specifically in identifying needs and recommending TEC solutions.
Skills: Proven experience in writing quality assessments/reports and strong IT proficiency for data input.
Driving Requirements: Full UK driving licence is essential.
