We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative for the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services (AASC) contract in Nottinghamshire.
In this role, you will play a key part in assisting individuals through the asylum system by ensuring that temporary accommodation properties are maintained to the highest safety and quality standards within strict Service Level Agreement (SLA) deadlines.
What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Reactive & Planned Repairs: Carry out requested repairs—both reactive and pre-planned by management—across trades such as joinery, fitting, plumbing, painting, and decorating.
Workflow Management: Manage your own daily workflow efficiently while collaborating seamlessly within a broader team.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards for yourself and all property users before, during, and after works.
Materials & Asset Care: Source and manage materials using company account cards from approved suppliers only, and keep the provided company vehicle and tools in a professional, clean condition.
Schedule & On-Call Requirements
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Mon to Fri, 7.5 hours per day between 08:00 and 18:00).
On-Call Rota: Requirement to participate in out-of-hours on-call emergency duties once every 8–10 weeks to ensure 24/7 emergency cover.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous maintenance experience within a relevant field (joinery, plumbing, decorating, fitting, etc.).
Licence: A valid, full UK driving licence is essential, along with a willingness to travel within the region and occasionally across the UK.
Vetting: All offers of employment are subject to security clearance checks and approval by the Home Office.
