Because this role compresses your 40-hour workweek into just 2 to 3 shifts per week, you will enjoy an exceptional work/life balance. From organizing outdoor activities to providing vital 1:1 emotional support, you will be the dependable role model these young people need to address past difficulties and make positive choices for their future.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Residential Care Worker, you will wear many hats, helping to run a warm, supportive, and structured home:

Empowerment & Advocacy: Foster ambition in young people, support them in their education, and act as their advocate in key planning meetings.
Daily Living & Activities: Help maintain a clean and welcoming household (cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping) and encourage community engagement through off-site social activities.
Digital Record Keeping: Use an electronic care recording system daily to accurately document, monitor, and update records. (Experience with Clearcare is a bonus, but full training is provided!).

Who We Are Looking For

You do not need prior care experience to apply—if you have a passion for mentoring young people, Cambian will provide everything you need to succeed.

Age Requirement: Due to national care standards, applicants must be a minimum of 21 years old.
Licence: A full UK driving licence is highly preferable.
Flexibility: You must be adaptable, great at reading situations, and fully available for the required rota and sleep-in shifts.
Training Commitment: Willingness to attend a comprehensive two-week induction training program.
