Supportive Bridge Staffing is seeking an empathetic, resilient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning and Therapeutic Partner (LTP) to join our client, Lift Crescent View in Cheltenham.
In this specialist role, you will work within small classes (8–10 pupils) across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Working alongside teachers, pastoral leads, and multi-agency professionals, you will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build self-esteem, regulate emotions, and develop independent learning habits in a safe, nurturing environment.
Learning & SEMH Support: Assist pupils with SEND and SEMH needs to access lesson content and achieve their individual academic and personal development goals.
1:1 & Small Group Interventions: Guide targeted learning activities and therapeutic interventions to raise self-esteem, confidence, and emotional regulation.
Positive Relationship & Behavior Support: Build trusted, caring relationships with pupils, promoting positive behavior and a calm classroom environment.
Collaborative Planning: Work alongside classroom teachers to guide lessons, evaluate student progress, and adapt learning strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
Partnership Engagement: Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents, and carers to ensure holistic support for every child's educational journey.
Qualifications & Training:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, or willingness to work towards functional skills qualifications.
Basic IT proficiency and a desire to deepen your understanding of child development and SEMH strategies.
Funded Training Included: As this post is over 20 hours per week, candidates who do not already hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification will be fully supported to complete their Level 3 Training upon appointment!
