As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a talented and passionate Relief Cook for Mulberry Court. Located in the heart of Chalfont St Peter, this small, friendly, and modern care home features 23 boutique-style en-suite bedrooms and a dedicated visitor lounge, offering a warm, homely, and personal environment.
Are you an experienced catering assistant, commis chef, or cook looking for your next challenge without split shifts and anti-social hours? Nutrition is a vital part of our care, and you will play an active role in creating delicious, high-quality meals and catering for specialist diets. By getting to know our residents and their families, you will ensure that mealtimes are always a much-anticipated highlight of their day.
Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook delicious, nutritious meals, snacks, and treats while accommodating specialist dietary requirements.
Dining Experience: Deliver a high-quality dining experience, taking pride in food presentation, taste, and kitchen safety standards.
Resident Engagement: Build warm relationships with residents and their families to understand personal preferences and individual nutritional needs.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the friendly, hard-working catering and care team to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen.
Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience working in a professional kitchen and catering for specialist diets / large groups, alongside a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking is a great bonus!).
Personality: Friendly, approachable, and confident in engaging with elderly residents to learn their personal food choices.
Attitude: Someone who takes immense pride in their cooking, maintains high hygiene standards, and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
Competitive Pay: £13.13 per hour.
