About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our trusted healthcare partners for an experienced Forensic or General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join a specialist secure mental health service in Warrington, UK on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week).

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist who is passionate about delivering high-quality, recovery-focused psychiatric care for adult women with complex mental health needs. Working within a well-established multidisciplinary team, you will lead clinical care, contribute to service development, and support patients through every stage of their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will:

Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adult women with complex mental health conditions.
Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to coordinated care planning.
Deliver person-centred and evidence-based psychiatric care.
Undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments for new admissions.
Manage both physical and mental health concerns of service users.
Build effective relationships with NHS England case managers and external stakeholders.
Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.
Prepare written reports and provide expert evidence at Mental Health Tribunals and Hospital Managers' hearings.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold the highest professional standards.
Keep clinical knowledge up to date through continuous professional development, conferences, and training.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

Full GMC Registration.
Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych).
Specialist Registration (or eligibility to join) in Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry.
Section 12 Approval.
Approved Clinician Status.
Up-to-date appraisal and good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Excellent leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred psychiatric care.

Desirable

Previous experience within secure mental health, forensic, or adult psychiatric services.
Experience working within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Strong interest in service development and quality improvement.
