In this vital specialist role, you will care-coordinate service users where children are present in the family home or wider dynamic. Supervised by the designated safeguarding lead, you will work closely with the Early Help and Safeguarding Hub (EHASH), children and adult social services, and families to deliver whole-family assessments, evidence-based psychosocial interventions, and targeted parenting support that improves family functionality and de-escalates statutory intervention.
Think Family Care Coordination: Manage a caseload where children are present, conducting home visits, joint parenting assessments, and developing comprehensive 'Think Family' care plans.
Whole-Family Interventions: Deliver evidence-based parenting programmes, family group sessions, and 1-to-1 psychosocial support for both parents and children across various community settings (homes, children’s centres, and schools).
Multi-Agency Safeguarding: Work in close partnership with Social Services, Early Help, and healthcare professionals to manage risk, support statutory transitions, and guide pregnant clients through specialist treatment pathways.
Specialist Advice & Representation: Act as a specialist resource for the wider team regarding family functionality and represent ReNew's 'Think Family' model at key stakeholder and community events.
Experience & Knowledge: Strong understanding of substance misuse issues, child protection procedures, and experience working with service users facing multiple risk factors (e.g., domestic violence, housing issues, or pregnancy-related harm).
Safeguarding Expertise: Practical experience in undertaking comprehensive assessments, care planning, case management, and working alongside safeguarding boards.
Core Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive and self-motivated working style, and good working knowledge of mental health interventions.
Requirements: Supportive team player. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: flexibility to work some evenings/weekends if requested, and this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 extra day for each year of service during the first five years (up to 30 days).
Wellbeing Support: Paid weekly 'Wellness' hour, access to a Wellness Hub, and a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).
Financial & Career Support: Contributory pension scheme, extensive training, and clear career progression pathways.
Lifestyle Perks: Generous discounts for shopping, cinema, holidays, and a refer-a-friend scheme.
