Based in West Bromwich, you will work directly with participants on the Restart scheme to help them overcome personal barriers and move into sustainable, long-term employment. Your work will have a direct, positive impact on individuals and their future prospects. By tailoring support to each person’s needs, you will create an environment grounded in trust, care, and purposeful coaching, empowering people to build confidence and develop practical skills.
Coaching & Caseload Management: Coach a dedicated caseload of participants using strategies that build confidence, readiness, and practical skills for employment.
Action Planning: Assess pre-employment needs and develop personalised action plans that guide participants toward sustainable work.
Practical Support: Deliver hands-on guidance with CV writing, job applications, interview preparation, and effective job-searching techniques.
Employer Engagement: Collaborate with local employers to identify suitable job openings, matching participants to roles that fit their skills and career aspirations.
Signposting & Collaboration: Offer flexible support and signposting to wraparound services, specialist provisions, and internal resources.
Compliance & Records: Maintain accurate, detailed records of participant activity while operating in line with the Delivery Assurance Framework and contractual standards.
Industry Experience: Proven background coaching, influencing, and supporting people through positive change within the employability sector, teaching, or Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG).
Qualifications: Level 3 IAG, education, or equivalent qualification (or a willingness to work towards one).
Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of local labour markets and recruitment practices.
Digital Literacy: Confident IT skills across Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Core Competencies: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with a performance-driven mindset and high standards of accuracy and integrity.
Vetting Requirement: Successful completion of a Basic DBS check and an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
